The water tower (35 m) towers over the Möhnetal and stands at the highest point of the Oberstadt in Rüthen (386 m above sea level). From a climbable viewing platform (29 m) it offers magnificent views of the Haarstrang, the heights of the Brilon and Arnsberg forests and the plains of the Bürener Land.
The platform of the water tower at the city wall is open all year round.
